The PasSec is designed to optimise passenger flow and enhance security, ensuring seamless operations at critical transit points.
- After Immigration Control: Ideally located before baggage reclaim, the PasSec prevents passengers from collecting luggage and attempting to re-enter restricted airside areas. This placement reinforces security while maintaining smooth onward movement.
- After Customs Control: Strategically installed before the open landside area, the gate restricts unauthorised access to baggage claim and secondary duty-free zones. This ensures that only authorised individuals can access sensitive areas.
By creating a one-way passage, the PasSec significantly reduces the risk of unauthorised movement and optimises the use of staff and resources in high-traffic areas.
Passage Sensors
The PasSec incorporates advanced sensor technology to monitor passenger movement with precision and ensure optimal security at every stage.
- Comprehensive Monitoring: Multiple sensors analyse passenger movement, detecting direction and travel position to manage gate operation seamlessly.
- Reverse Flow Detection: If reverse passage is attempted, the sensors immediately close the doors and trigger an alarm to prevent unauthorised access.
- Left Luggage Detection: Integrated sensors identify abandoned or forgotten luggage, ensuring swift action to maintain a secure and obstruction-free area.
This cutting-edge sensor system works in harmony with the PasSec’s intelligent algorithms, creating a secure and reliable solution for high-traffic areas.
Operating Modes
The PasSec Automated Anti-Return Gate offers four configurable modes to adapt to varying operational needs, ensuring both security and flexibility in high-traffic environments:
- Automatic Mode: Enables unidirectional passage in the exit direction only, ensuring smooth and controlled passenger flow.
- Interlocking Mode: Provides secure, unidirectional controlled passage, ideal for heightened security scenarios (HS models only).
- Maintenance Mode: Disables control in both directions, allowing for safe servicing and routine maintenance.
- Locked Mode: Closes and secures the walkway, preventing any movement through the gate.
With remote inputs, operators can seamlessly switch between modes or control the operation of entry and exit doors, ensuring maximum adaptability for specific requirements or emergencies.
